Full service restored at Sheffield after derailment

TRAIN services through Sheffield have returned to normal after six days of disruption caused by a derailed cement train.

Network Rail had to remove 11 derailed tanker wagons and carry out ‘significant’ repairs to the track and signalling. 

The cause of the derailment at 02.45 on 11 November is not yet known, and inspectors from the Rail Accident Investigation Branch are continuing to compile evidence,
