Train services from Glasgow Central High Level have been restored, after a closure which began on 8 March because of a fire which destroyed a building next to the station.
The Low Level platforms reopened first, followed by platforms 7 to 15 last Wednesday (18 March), but with six platforms still closed services on some ScotRail routes remained suspended, along with CrossCountry and TransPennine Express.
All platforms are now back in use, although part of the concourse is still cordoned off, while National Rail is warning that all toilets remain closed and the Queen Street bus link is still not running to Central, where some entrances are also still out of use.
TransPennine Express has also warned that some TPE services may be disrupted today, as some trains were not in the right position this morning.
ScotRail’s chief operating officer David Ross said: ‘The safety of our customers and staff is our priority, and the decision to reopen the high level has only been taken following comprehensive safety checks by Glasgow City Council and Network Rail.’
