Railnews launches major railway recruitment initiative

Cyril Bleasdale and Eric Potts seal the deal

RAILNEWS is to launch a major recruitment initiative at Railtex, which opens tomorrow.

The new window into railway jobs is being created by an innovative partnership between Railnews and leading recruiters JustEngineers.

From now on, online visitors to Railnews.co.uk will be linked seamlessly with the website of JustEngineers.net, which incorporates JustRail.net. The Railnews website will have a new look and more responsive area for job searchers, and the monthly print editions of Railnews will also offer a new section for both job seekers and recruiters.

The co-founder of Jobsite.co.uk, Eric Potts, and Railnews managing director Cyril Bleasdale confirmed the partnership on 26 May.

Eric Potts explained: “With the launch of JustEngineers.net with a new look and new technology, both candidates and clients can benefit from a multitude of different products and services.”

Cyril Bleasdale added: “We are very pleased to be linked with this new technology, and we're impressed by their commitment to Railnews. There's no doubt that the railway industry is going through a period of change, some of which involves a new focus on costs, but also against a background of increasing passenger figures and greater demand for railfreight.

“Our new partnership with JustEngineers.net has come at a particularly important moment in the industry's development. As at so many times since we were launched in 1963 once again Railnews, with JustEngineers, is at the heart of it.”
